Our Team

Mitchell VanDeweel – “President / CEO” has over 15 years of experience in working with people with disabilities. Throughout those years, his roles have included being an Intervention Specialist (Mod-Int) and a Direct Support Professional for multiple agencies. Mitchell pushes himself to make his life extraordinary by pursuing his goals both personally and professionally. When Mitchell isn’t working to serve individuals and families through his career, he is spending time with family, advocating for Spark, and rooting on Cleveland sports.

Connor VanDeweel – “Director of ADS Services” has over 10 years of experience in working with people with disabilities. He first served as a DSP for multiple agencies while obtaining his undergraduate degree from Cleveland State University. Connor has over five years of experience working in various positions within the company. While employed here at Spark, Connor has worked as a Direct Support Professional, House Manager, and Transportation director. Connor has been a part of the growth of all Spark waiver homes and ADS programing. In his spare time, he enjoys spending it with family, friends. While also rooting on the Browns, Cavs, and Guardians.

Ian Duncan – “Financial Reporting Manager” Ian earned a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University with a concentration in Business Administration. After joined the Spark team in 2020, he discovered his passion to work directly with the individuals we serve. Ian has worked as a Direct Support Professional and a House Manager. Ian was promoted as Financial Reporting Manger in 2024. Ian has been a large part of the growth of all three Spark waiver homes.

Alex Edeburn – “ADS Program Manager – CLE” Alex joined the Spark team in August of 2021 as a Direct Support Professional. While employed here at Spark, Alex worked as a Direct Support Professional and a House Manager before joining the ADS program. Alex was instrumental in the growth of the ADS program in Lake County, which lead to the opening of our Cleveland Heights ADS site in July of 2023. His Day Program Manager job includes him being involved in planning and implementing daily activities, encouraging community integration, making admission decisions for referrals based upon client assessments, and ensuring the health and safety of everyone served. In his spare time, he enjoys spending it with family, friends. While also rooting on the Browns, Cavs, and Guardians.

Belinda joined the Spark team in 2023. Belinda has great qualities that make our Spark individuals feel comfortable and motivated. Belinda ensures that we provide solutions to meet every individual wherever they are in the path of life. She is equally as passionate about positive cohesion with her co-workers and works closely with our staff to grow as the needs of our individuals change. 

Martin started with Spark in 2022. His ability to lift others up as well as see through the eyes of our special friends is unique and contributes to the great success of our program! Martin serves as a great role model for all our individuals, promoting growth and genuine happiness.
